PLEASE READ THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THIS WEBSITE. By using this website, and purchasing any products from it, you signify your consent to these terms of use. If you do not agree to these Terms and Conditions of Use, please do not use the website.

HeartDog Ltd is a private limited company registered in England (company number 15498080). Our registered office and main place of trading is 23 Warkworth Drive, Pegswood, NE61 6TD, UK. 

Your access to and use of this website, as well as all related websites operated by HeartDog Ltd (which includes heartdogtrainers.com, heartdogtrainersacademy.com and all subdomains of these sites among others) (collectively the “Site”), is subject to the following terms and conditions (“Terms of Use”) and all applicable laws. By accessing and browsing the Site, you accept, without limitation or qualification, the Terms of Use and acknowledge that any other agreements between you and the Site are superseded and of no force or effect:

1. You agree that the Site itself, as well as all content, videos, training materials, products, services and/or other materials, made available on the Site by us or other third parties, as well as the look and feel of all of the foregoing, (collectively referred to as the “Content”) are maintained for your personal use and information by HeartDog Ltd, (the “Company”) and are the property of the Company and/or its third-party providers. You agree that such Company Content shall include all proprietary videos, HTML/CSS, Javascript, graphics, voice, and sound recordings, artwork, photos, documents, and text as well as all other materials included in the Site, excluding only the materials you provide. Subject to your compliance with these Terms of Use, the Company hereby grants you a limited license, which is non-exclusive, non-transferable, and non-sublicensable, to access, view, and use the Site solely for your personal purposes. No Company Content may be copied, reproduced, republished, uploaded, posted, transmitted, distributed, used for public or commercial purposes, or downloaded in any way unless written permission is expressly granted by the Company. Modification of the Content or use of the Content for any other purpose is a violation of the copyright and other proprietary rights of the Company, as well as other authors who created the materials, and may be subject to monetary damages and penalties. You may not distribute, modify, transmit or use the content of the Site or any Content, including any and all software, tools, graphics and/or sound files, for public or commercial purposes without the express written permission of the Company.

2. All Content, such as text, data, graphics files, videos and sound files, and other materials contained in the Site, are copyrighted unless otherwise noted and are the property of the Company and/or a supplier to the Company. No such materials may be used except as provided in these Terms of Use.

3. All trade names, trademarks, and images and biographical information of people used in the Company Content and contained in the Site, including without limitation the name and trademark “HeartDog”, "Your End of the Lead" and "Tellington TTouch Training", "Animal Centred Education" are either the property of, or used with permission by, the Company. The use of Content by you is strictly prohibited unless specifically permitted by these Terms of Use. Any unauthorized use of Content may violate the copyright, trademark, and other proprietary rights of the Company and/or third parties, as well as the laws of privacy and publicity, and other regulations and statutes. Nothing contained in this Agreement or in the Site shall be construed as granting, by implication or otherwise, any license or right to use any Trademark or other proprietary information without the express written consent of the Company or third party owner. The Company respects the copyright, trademark and all other intellectual property rights of others. The Company has the right, but has no obligation, to remove content and accounts containing materials that it deems, in its sole discretion, to be unlawful, offensive, threatening, libellous, defamatory, pornographic, obscene or otherwise objectionable or violates any party’s intellectual property or these Terms of Use. If you believe that your intellectual property rights are being violated and/or that any work belonging to you has been reproduced on the Site or in any Content in any way, you may notify Company at [email protected]. Please provide your name and contact information, the nature of your work and how it is being violated, all relevant copyright and/or trademark registration information, the location/URL of the violation, and any other information you believe is relevant.

4. While the Company uses strenuous efforts to include accurate and up-to-date information in the Site, the Company makes no warranties or representations as to its accuracy. The Company assumes no liability or responsibility for any errors or omissions in the content of the Site.

5. When you register with the Company and/or this Site, you expressly consent to receive any notices, announcements, agreements, disclosures, reports, documents, communications concerning new products or services, or other records or correspondence from the Company. You consent to receive notices electronically by way of transmitting the notice to you by email.

6. If you send comments or suggestions about the Site to the Company, including, but not limited to, notes, text, drawings, images, designs or computer programs, such submissions shall become, and shall remain, the sole property of the Company. No submission shall be subject to any obligation of confidence on the part of the Company. The Company shall exclusively own all rights to (including intellectual property rights thereto) and shall be entitled to unrestricted use, publication, and dissemination as to all such submissions for any purpose, commercial or otherwise without any acknowledgement or compensation to you. This does not apply to personal images and videos submitted as part of a course. These remain your intellectual property but you give express permission for them to be used and displayed within the Site.

7. The Company shall use commercially reasonable efforts to restrict unauthorized access to our data and files. However, no system whether or not password protected can be entirely impenetrable. You acknowledge that it may be possible for an unauthorized third party to access, view, copy, modify or distribute the data and files you store using the Site. Use of the Site is completely at your own risk.

8. The Company will not intentionally disclose any personally identifying information about you to third parties, except where the Company, in good faith, believes such disclosure is necessary to comply with the law or enforce these Terms of Use. By using the Site, you signify your acceptance of the Company’s Privacy Policy, https://www.heartdogtrainers.com/privacy-policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, in whole or part, please do not use this Site.

9. Neither the Company nor any other party involved in creating, producing or maintaining the Site and/or any content on the Site shall be liable under any circumstances for any direct, incidental, consequential, indirect or punitive damages arising out of your access to or use of the Site. Without limiting the foregoing, all content on the site is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to, the implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

10. The Company does not warrant or make any representations regarding the use of the materials in the Site, the results of the use of such materials, the suitability of such materials for any user's needs or the likelihood that their use will meet any user's expectations. The Company likewise does not warrant or make any representations or guarantees that you will achieve any specific results with your dog, your clients or your business by using the Site or the Company's technology or services. You accept all responsibility for evaluating your own capability as well as executing your own plans. Your progress is entirely dependent on your own efforts, your execution of the processes suggested, the time you devote to the work, as well as your prior experience and your skill. Since these factors differ among all individuals, the Company cannot and does not warrant or make any representations or guarantees regarding your success.

11. Whilst every effort is made to ensure accuracy and safety of the Site, the Company does not warrant that use of the materials will be uninterrupted or error-free, that defects will be corrected or that the Site, the content and/or the materials available on the Site are free from bugs or viruses or other harmful components. You assume all responsibility for the cost of all necessary repairs or corrections to your own systems.

12. The Company shall not be responsible for any performance or service problems caused by any third-party website or third-party service provider (including, for example, your web service provider service, Kajabi, Quaderno, Stripe payment services, your software and/or any updates or upgrades to that software). Any such problem shall be governed solely by the agreement between you and that provider. The Company reserves the right to determine, in its sole discretion, whether the company is responsible for any such malfunction or disruption.

13. The Company also reserves the right to limit your use of the Site and/or the content or to terminate your account should the Company determine that you have violated these terms of use, or that you have violated any other rules or conditions of the Company. The Company reserves the right to refuse access to the Site and/or the Company's content, products and/or services to anyone in its sole discretion. The Company may, in its sole discretion, refund the initial fee charged for any use of the site and/or any content or a pro-rata portion thereof consistent with the Company's refund policy (see Clause 14.).

14. The Company shall refund any purchase of a course or membership where a request is made within 14 days of purchase as long as the product has not been significantly used. Due to the downloadable nature of Toolboxes, there will be no automatic refund period for Toolbox purchases. Where a refund is made, all associated access to products and materials shall cease immediately. After the initial 14 days, all refunds shall be at the sole discretion of the Company. Where the Company is unable to provide any product or service for which payment has been received in advance, the Company will refund all payments made for that product or service. Where a product or service has been partially provided, the refund shall be a pro-rata portion of the initial fee. Under no circumstances shall the Company reimburse more than the actual price paid for a product or service, regardless of the reason for the refund. Refunds do not apply to courses that have been delivered but that offer "lifetime access", which is deemed to be the lifetime of the course. In the event of a "lifetime access" course being discontinued, the Company will notify affected clients and give the opportunity to download resources for a limited period. 

15. You agree to indemnify and hold the Company and each of its directors, officers employees, and agents, harmless from any and all liabilities, claims, damages and expenses, including reasonable attorney’s fees, arising out of or relating to (i) your breach of this Agreement, (ii) any violation by you of law or the rights of any third party, (iii) any materials, information, works and/or other content of whatever nature or media that you post or share on or through the Site, (iv) your use of the Site or any services that the Company may provide via the Site, and (v) your conduct in connection with the Site or the services or with other users of the Site or the services. The Company reserves the right to assume the exclusive defence of any claim for which we are entitled to indemnification under this Section. In such event, you shall provide the Company with such cooperation as is reasonably requested by the Company.

16. The provisions of these Terms of Use are for the benefit of the Company, its subsidiaries, affiliates and its third party content providers and licensors, and each shall have the right to assert and enforce such provisions directly or on its own behalf.

17. This agreement and the purchase and use of all products and services shall be exclusively governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law. You further submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts sitting in England and Wales. If any provision of this agreement shall be unlawful, void, or for any reason is unenforceable, then that provision shall be deemed severable from this agreement and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions.

18. All courses and programmes (including memberships) operate strictly under the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. By participating in courses, programmes and memberships offered by HeartDog Ltd you accept this jurisdiction as the arbiter for any disputes. 

HeartDog subscription products Terms and Conditions of Use

In addition to the Terms and Conditions in clauses 1-18 by taking out a subscription on this site (e.g. HeartDog Connect) you are also agreeing to the following conditions:

  • Your payment subscription will be taken each month (or year depending on the subscription type selected) on the same day you originally subscribed. You will have full access to all the materials and benefits currently available within the membership and all new materials that are released as long as you remain a member.
  • Your subscription amount will remain unchanged as long as your membership is uninterrupted.
  • You can cancel your subscription at any time by emailing a cancellation request to [email protected] giving 5 working days notice. Your membership will be cancelled from your next payment date and you will have access to materials until the end of your paid period (normally the end of the month after your payment date).  
  • After cancellation takes effect you will lose access to all Member benefits, including access to courses and the community. No refunds can be issued for periods prior to the cancellation request being received. You will not be entitled to keep any materials, except downloads that you have legitimately taken and gifts received. You are welcome to rejoin at a later date but your subscription will be set at the current rate at that time. 
  • If a subscription payment fails, we will attempt to contact you to resolve any issues, but if payment can't be collected after three attempts, your membership will be automatically cancelled.
  • All membership subscriptions are subject to the terms and conditions outlined elsewhere in this document.
  • In subscribing to the membership you are opting in to the HeartDog email list as we need this to be able to contact you about your products. You are free to unsubscribe at any time but you acknowledge that this will mean you may not receive important updates to your membership. You will also receive HeartDog news and other valuable communications but we will not spam you and we will not sell your details to third parties. 


HeartDog Trainer Toolboxes Terms and Conditions of Use

In addition to the Terms and Conditions in clauses 1-18, by accessing a Trainer’s Toolbox provided by HeartDog you are agreeing to be bound by these additional Terms and Conditions, and agree that you are responsible for compliance with any applicable local laws. The materials contained within the Trainer’s Toolbox are protected by applicable copyright and trade mark law.


Permission is granted to the purchaser to use the materials in the Trainer’s Toolbox for commercial purposes within their dog training business to support students in training their dogs with the following permissions.

Permitted use includes:

  • a) providing viewing access to the video content for dog training students via a paid learning platform, (e.g. Zenler, Thinkific, Teachable, Kajabi), as unlisted or private links on your business YouTube channel, within a closed Facebook community group for your paying students.
  • b) distribution of non-video learning resources to your dog training students, including but not limited to handouts, progress trackers, journals and lesson plans.
  • c) Modification of the materials to include the purchaser’s logo, brand colours and alteration of written content to reflect the purchaser’s preferred regional spelling or language.
  • d) Translation of the written materials into purchaser’s chosen language for use in training programs.
  • e) Modification of the introductory slides of the videos to reflect purchaser’s branding.
  • f) Addition of personalised voiceover to videos in their complete format, including translation into other languages.
  • g) Use of materials in lead generation activities including but not limited to: webinars, challenges, workshops and ebook downloads as incentives to join your mailing list.
  • h) Use of the materials as outlined above by one business per toolbox purchase. Multiple staff members working for the purchasing business may use the materials in coaching as long as activities are undertaken solely by that business. Individuals may not hold copies of materials for external use not relating to the purchasing business.
  • i) Each business that purchases the toolbox will be permitted one login for the Toolbox Syllabus and one attendee for group coaching. If you require additional access please email [email protected] for assistance.


This is the grant of a license, not a transfer of title, and under this license you may not:

  • a) distribute, provide download links or transfer video files to other individuals or businesses at any time
  • b) provide free access to the materials to individuals not enrolled in your training programs
  • c) use the video content (in their complete form or as shorter clips) outside of the format presented in the toolbox, including but not limited to: use in other projects, creation of additional learning materials or video tutorials, or other commercial or non commercial activities.
  • d) sell access to or distribute the toolbox to other individuals or businesses for commercial use.
  • e) transfer the materials to another person or 'mirror' the materials on any other server, with the exception of downloading a single copy of the toolbox for your own access to a local computer or cloud storage platform.
  • f) in the case of companies who purchase access to the Trainer’s Toolbox, the right to use lies solely with the purchasing company. Use by individuals in activities outside of their employment are not permitted and it is the sole responsibility of the purchaser to ensure that upon employment termination access to the materials is severed and copied/downloaded materials are destroyed.
  • g) Personalise the content for use in multiple businesses under a single purchase licence. Nor can content be given to contractors for use in external activities not relating to the purchasing business.

This license shall automatically terminate if you violate any of these restrictions and may be terminated by the Company at any time. Upon terminating your viewing of these materials or upon the termination of this license, you must destroy any copied/downloaded materials in your possession whether in electronic or printed format.


The materials within the Trainer’s Toolbox are provided 'as is'. HeartDog makes no warranties, expressed or implied, and hereby disclaims and negates all other warranties, including without limitation, implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement of intellectual property or other violation of rights. Further, HeartDog does not warrant or make any representations concerning the accuracy, likely results, or reliability of the use of the materials within the Trainer’s Toolbox.


In no event shall the Company or its suppliers be liable for any damages (including, without limitation, damages for loss of data or profit, or due to business interruption,) arising out of the use or inability to use the materials within the Trainer’s Toolbox.

Revisions and Errata

The materials appearing in the Trainer’s Toolbox could include technical, typographical, or photographic errors. HeartDog may make changes to the materials contained within the Trainer’s Toolbox at any time without notice. HeartDog does not, however, make any commitment to update the materials.
